Grafton Jacaranda Festival 2009

Be a part of the the world-renowned Jacaranda Festival held yearly in Grafton, Northern Rivers New South Wales, from Friday, October 30th and concludes on Sunday, 8th November.

The festival brings flowers competition, parades, concerts, boats, film festival, fun run and more events together. This is a festival set to express the people's thanksgiving for the generosity with which nature blesses this part of the globe. Inaugurated in 1934, this was the first of Australia's folk festivals and is based upon the magnificent spectacle of the hundreds of lilac-blossomed trees which grow in Grafton's broad tree lined avenues. Dont miss this unique and oldest celebration in Grafton.

Grafton is located on the Mid North Coast of NSW, 300kms south of Brisbane and 600kms north of Sydney. Interest yourself on campervans in NSW. More about the festival at www.jacarandafestival.org.au

Night out for wine and food lovers

Happening 6-8pm Tuesday 20 October, Wellington. Be there and be among the first to sample new release and award-winning wines from the Wairarapa sub-regions of Martinborough, Gladstone and Masterton, and discover how various foods accentuate different flavours in the wine.

Wines from the region are small in size but huge in style. Distinctively boutique, they achieve international acclaim for intensity of flavour. It is the genuine cool climate that creates this food friendly style.

Want to stay longer and see more of Wellington? Then move around through Campers New Zealand. Join "A dream night out for wine and food lovers" for an opportunity to taste a fine collection of wines from 30 of the regions wineries - including gems from artisan vineyards that are not widely available.
