The Dunedin Rhododendron Festival

Dunedin, with great pleasure, welcomes garden and Rhododendron lovers to the city during Rhododendron Festival 2007 to view the spectacular displays of Rhododendrons in private and public gardens.

Diverse microclimates abound in Dunedin's temperate coastal setting providing a variety of environments for Rhododendrons and plants from around the world.

The week-long Dunedin Rhododendron Festival offers more than 50 events, including wine and food tastings in the Larnach Castle gardens, art in Glenfalloch gardens, garden tours and demonstrations. Dunedin has an ideal climate for rhododendrons and azaleas which thrive in private gardens, as well as three gardens of 'national significance'.
